Jacob Rosenberg has extensive experience as a filmmaker, author and digital media expert. For more than a decade he has worked as a senior consultant to Adobe Systems Inc., focusing on digital video software applications. Rosenberg has contributed his technical knowledge to a number of feature films including James Cameron’s “AVATAR”, Bryan Singer’s “SUPERMAN RETURNS”, Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones documentary “SHINE A LIGHT” and the indie dramedy “LBS”. Rosenberg began his collaboration with Bandito Brothers founders Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh when he served as the online editor and digital intermediate (DI) supervisor for their feature “DUST TO GLORY” (2005). The filmmakers utilized an all-digital workflow designed by Rosenberg that mixed nine different video formats seamlessly and printed the HD edit directly to film. “DUST TO GLORY” would serve as the platform for creating their company Bandito Brothers, which independently financed and self-made the recent feature “ACT OF VALOR”.
Rosenberg was born and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley. A skateboarder in the early 1990s, he developed his passion for video and film by making acclaimed skateboard videos released by Plan B. Upon graduating from Emerson College, his thesis film was released on DVD and he promptly began directing music videos, commercials and short films. Rosenberg directed music videos throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s. He most recently directed commercials for companies such as Ford Motor Company, Cisco Systems, Nature Made, and Electronic Arts. “WAITING FOR LIGHTNING” is his first feature film.
CEO / President - POC USA
As a competitive scholastic skier and former alpine race coach at the Green Mountain Valley School, Jarka has always looked at sports and the world in terms of progression.. From a career standpoint, the Cornell graduate with a BS in Nutrition selected a series of jobs to build his skill set and acumen to allow him to work for a global brand in the action sports segment as President/CEO. The progression started with Dolomite Ski boots (2002) on the marketing side, moving to Abbott Laboratories (2003) working in sales before laddering back to Tecnica Group (Dolomite and Elan skis ) in 2004-2005. A two-year tour with Scios/Johnson & Johnson led to his current role as President/CEO of POC USA LLC (2006 – present) which makes helmets, body armor and eyewear for snowsports and cycling. POC USA was started as a distribution/marketing/sales company in the garage of his Portsmouth, NH townhouse. Jarka has been awarded SGB’s 40 Under 40 accolade given to the most influential up and comers in all corners of the sporting goods industry in 2011, is a board member of the Association of Freeskiing Professionals and just moved from New Hampshire to Aspen , CO.
