Jacob Rosenberg
Jacob Rosenberg has extensive experience as a filmmaker, author and digital media expert. For more than a decade he has worked as a senior consultant to Adobe Systems Inc., focusing on digital video software applications. Rosenberg has contributed his technical knowledge to a number of feature films including James Cameron’s “AVATAR”, Bryan Singer’s “SUPERMAN RETURNS”, Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones documentary “SHINE A LIGHT” and the indie dramedy “LBS”. Rosenberg began his collaboration with Bandito Brothers founders Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh when he served as the online editor and digital intermediate (DI) supervisor for their feature “DUST TO GLORY” (2005). The filmmakers utilized an all-digital workflow designed by Rosenberg that mixed nine different video formats seamlessly and printed the HD edit directly to film. “DUST TO GLORY” would serve as the platform for creating their company Bandito Brothers, which independently financed and self-made the recent feature “ACT OF VALOR”.
Rosenberg was born and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley. A skateboarder in the early 1990s, he developed his passion for video and film by making acclaimed skateboard videos released by Plan B. Upon graduating from Emerson College, his thesis film was released on DVD and he promptly began directing music videos, commercials and short films. Rosenberg directed music videos throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s. He most recently directed commercials for companies such as Ford Motor Company, Cisco Systems, Nature Made, and Electronic Arts. “WAITING FOR LIGHTNING” is his first feature film.
