Group Y and FvS Media presents “101: Social Media & Digital Content,” a networking and educational event which took place Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Lido Live in Newport Beach, CA. The insightful event featured top Digital and Social Media brand leaders from OAKLEY, STANCE SOCKS, VANS WARPED TOUR and more sharing best practices for building an engaged community online. Participants heard from leaders in content and social marketing about real world examples of successful initiatives they’ve led. The goal is for participants to be re-inspired and come away with fresh ideas they’ll be able to translate to their own individual or business goals.

Attendees also actively engaged with the speakers and leading digital brand leaders as they participate in unique BOF “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” interactive group discussions. Each group was presented with a real-life situation that relates to social media and digital media to collectively discuss challenges and find solutions. The results will be critiqued by our presenters and shared among those attending as well as on the Group Y website for future reading and discussion.

The “101” series was created to provide ongoing relevant learning opportunities to encourage professional growth among participants who work in Youth Culture & Marketing. Future events will feature expert brand leaders addressing current topics within PR, Legal, Events and Branding specific to this space.
